CRPD observers: how polling stations are being run
Election CenterPolling day
Polling day, live from CRPD’s observers
How the vote is being run
Opening on time, materials, secrecy, closing and incidents, from the checklists CRPD’s accredited observers send from the stations they observe. Each figure shows how many stations had reported and when. A CRPD manager publishes each update. Process only: only the IEC declares results.
Process figures
How to read these figures
- Each figure counts only the stations whose observers had sent that checklist by the time shown. Early in the day few stations have reported, so figures can change.
- CRPD observes a set of polling stations, not every station. A figure describes the stations observed.
- A figure resting on fewer than five stations is not shown.
- An incident is what one observer reported. CRPD checks reports before its statements.
- Polls close at 5 p.m., but everyone already in the queue still votes, so a later close can be lawful (Elections Act 2025, s. 64).
Definitions: the same checklist questions as CRPD’s Election Integrity Index. CRPD does not announce results (IEC Code of Conduct for Election Observers, clause 14).
